On Monday, January 4th, we had the most snow than we've had in 2 years. It was quite the storm and caused a giant back up on I-95, the main corridor in our area. Hundreds if not thousands of drivers who were stranded on I-95 in our area, including our very own Senator Tim Kaine. I-95 is the major interstate that runs north-south through DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. Why did it get so bad? Temperatures were in the 60s just the day before. It started out as rain and temperatures started dropping fast. Snow was falling at the rate of 2-3 inches an hour.  The rain froze on the roads and the snow just got heavier and started sticking to the roads. We had snow on top of ice. Salt and sand can help, but when it’s falling so fast, it’s too fast for salt and sand to do any good. In the past...

It's 2022! Cheers for all of us that made it this far. I'm grateful that I am here to make a prediction for the 2022 Housing Market in the DC Metro Area. Although a bit late, these predictions may apply all year round depending on how the market currently is and what the opinions of the local lenders, statistics, and more give us all year round. Without further ado, here are some of the things that you may expect in the 2022 housing market:1. Interest Rate HikeWe are all expecting a hike in the interest rate as we've hit an all-time low the past year. We may still be at around 3% in Q1, and somewhere around mid-3% from Q2 to Q3. We may be in the high 3% by the end of the year. Depending on where the Fed takes it, and when it happens, we are most likely to see a rate hike for this year.2...

Electricity: The Double-edged BladeElectricity has become a blessing of convenience. However, it does have an element of danger. For example, in the year 2012 alone, electrical fires claimed the lives of over 500 Americans, as well as 2,300 more injured people. Many of these fires were started by improper wiring at home or by faulty appliances. However, many were caused by common misuse of electrical appliances and cords that cause electricity to leak out and cause fires. Here's a view things you can do to make sure you're not susceptible to any potential dangers: For overhead powerlines, keep any ladders, equipment, or flying objects (including drones) away. Don't place a power strip directly underneath a rug or flammable material. Outlets near water need to be GFCI-type outlets. Alway...
